The great race

        Young Indians (Yi), a group consisting of young Indian entrepreneurs, owner-managers and professionals from various walks of life, is to conduct a race for youngsters. The race begins on 26 October from New Delhi and end in Goa on 29 October.

        The race, 'India in 96 Hours', would witness participation of 20 student- teams. The team would have a series of challenges, tasks and obstacles to cover the four corners of India within four days. The students would make their way across the country using all available modes of transport from aeroplanes to bullock carts. They would face three challenges during the course of this race that would test their courage, leadership, mental skills, determination and physical strength on every day of the race.

        Speaking to presspersons here recently, Rahul Mirchandani, national and Mumbai chairman-Youth Affairs of Young Indians Confederation of Indian Industry, said that apart from the performing teams, Yi net students in the various destination cities would be actively involved in the execution of the challenges, logistics and smooth conduct of the race along the route and for creating excitement on the streets during the event.

        Besides, the race would be recorded by media partners who would broadcast the event on television and other media, he said.
