        Eight teams are to vie for honours in the State-ranking football tournament conducted by Tamilnadu Football Association for the Universal Trophy. The dates are 25 May to 3 June at the Nehru Stadium.

        : Group A: Indian Bank, ICF, Nethaji Sports Club & St. Joseph's College (Tiruchi); Gr B: Chennai Customs, AG's Office Recreation Club, Madras Sporting Union & CVRDE (Avadi).

        Fixtures: 25 May - Indian Bank v Nethaji (2.15 p.m), ICF v St. Joseph's (4.15 p.m); 26 May: Chennai Customs v Madras Spg Union (2.15 p.m), AGORC v CVRDE (4.15 p.m); 27 May: ICF v Nethaji (2.15 p.m), Indian Bank v St. Joseph's (4.15 p.m); 28 May: AGORC v MSU (2.15 p.m), Chennai Customs v CRRDE (4.15 p.m); 29 May: Indian Bank v ICF (2.15 p.m), Nethaji v St. Joseph's (4.15 p.m), 30 May: Chennai Customs v AGORC (2.15 p.m), MSU v CVRDE (4.15 p.m).

        Semifinals on 1 June. Final: 3 June.
