Chennai, July 25:

        T R Srinivasan has taken charge as Regional Director of the Chennai Regional Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University.

        He is at present a member of the academic council of IGNOU, New Delhi, and a member of the Educational Advisory Board of the Indian Journal of Open Learning.

        He has earlier served as the regional director of the Hyderabad and Bangalore centres and as Deputy Director (Academic) of Tamil Virtual University, a press release said.
