        Tamilisai Soundarajan, the BJP State unit general secretary, has picked holes in Union Minister for Shipping and Surface Transport T R Baalu's contradictory statements on Ramar Sethu issue.

        A couple of weeks ago T R Baalu had vehemently denied the existence of Ramar Bridge. Yesterday, the Union Minister had accepted that the Adam Bridge exists at Sethu Samudiram.

        Stating that Adam Bridge and Ramar Bridge were one and the same, Tamilisai Soundarajan today urged Baalu to tender his resignation for making an about-turn in the issue.

        Nonbelievers do not know about science as well as spiritualism, she said and added, Baalu had made several hasty statements on the issue.

        'Since Baalu's stand had been exposed thoroughly, will he set a moral standard by resigning his Ministerial post?' she queried.

        On the confusion prevailing in admission to engineering colleges, she noted that the Chief Minister, the State Minister for Higher Education and the Vice - Chancellor of Anna University have been making contradictory statements. The State government should take immediate corrective steps.The Engineering Counselling should be conducted in four places.
