        Rural Development and Local Administration Minister M K Stalin today gave orders regularising the services of fifty three employees of Tamilnadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) besides promoting 118 staffers.

        An official release here said, in accordance with an announcement made by Minister Stalin in the State Assembly in April this year that all vacancies will be filled to speed up various projects of TWAD, instructions were given to take steps to fill vacancies.

        Acting on this, 17 persons with requisite qualifications were regularised as drivers and thirty six persons as Junior Assistants. Ninety five typists/junior assistants and 23 third grade steno typists were promoted as Assistants.

        The regularisation /promotion orders were given by Stalin in the presence of Managing Director, TWAD, Swaran Singh and Secretary, Municipal Administration, K Deenabandhu besides other senior officials.
