        Hikal Ltd, the preferred long-term outsourcing partner for leading global life sciences companies, posted a net profit of 8.7 crore witnessing 33 per cent growth as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBIDTA is up by 32 per cent. to Rs 18.2 crore

        while pharma sales up by 42 per cent. Commenting on the results, Jai Hiremath, vice chairman and managing director, Hikal Ltd, said, 'the first quarter results have witnessed a growth of 8 per cent as compared to the previous year.

        Although the growth in dollar terms is 20 per cent, it is only 8 per cent in rupee terms due to appreciation of rupee. Our products continue to show excellent growth and we are working towards signing several new contracts with leading global life sciences companies in the near future.'
