        M K Muthu, son of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, has been admitted to a private hospital here today after he developed some health complications. Karunanidhi called on his ailing son and enquired about his health.

        Muthu, was the son of the Chief Minister's wife Padmavathy. He joined the AIADMK after parting ways with his father but he was not into active politics. He had dabbled as an actor in several films such as Pillayo Pillai, Pookari, Samayalkaran, Anaya Vilaku and Nambikai Natchathiram.

        Muthu married veteran playback singer C S Jayaraman's daughter a few years ago. After giving birth to a child, Muthu's wife passed away.
