A glimpse of rare rudraksha beads

NT Bureau
Chennai, July 28:

A six-day exhibition-cum-sale of rudraksha, an age old ancient healing bead began at Vijaya Mahal, T Nagar from Thursday. The exhibition would be open for the public from 9 am to 9 pm during these days.

Rare and exotic rudraksha beads collected from all over the world would be displayed in the exhibition.

Rudralife, a Bombay based organisation that supplies quality holy and religious items that are blessed by vedic priests in a traditional vedic temple in Maharastra is the organiser of the exhibition.

Speaking at a press meet held in Chennai on Wednesday, Tanay Seetha, founder of Rudralife said that his company has organised rudraksha exhibitions four times earlier. He said that the purpose behind organising the exhibition was to create an awareness among the public about the benefits of rudrakshas.

He added that only a few people are aware that rudraksha beads possess electromagnetic, paramagnetic and inductive properties which were measured scientifically and have a positive impact on oneself when these beads are worn and thereby touching the skin.

He also said that Rudralife has sponsored scientific research on rudraksha beads in Mumbai University in the year 2005.

Seetha added that till date non-clinical tests that have been successfully completed conclude that rudraksha beads are cardio protective in nature, they have anti-inflammatory properties and rudrakshas have memory and intelligence enhancing attributes.

Research is underway at the same university to ascertain doses and means of administration in order to utilise rudraksha as a useful healing Ayurvedic medicine, he added.

He further said that he hoped to get conclusive reports by the end of August this year and added that if the experiments were successful then pharmaceutical application of this divine bead would commence.

Seetha said that abhishekam and poojas according to the vedic rituals would also be performed on the rudrakshas purchased by the customers at the exhibition to energise them so that they would start giving out positive vibrations for the benefit of the customers.

Books and other literature on rudrakshas would also be available at the exhibition, he added.

He further said that people can avail free checking and authentification of beads already in their possession at the exhibition and added that free consultations based on numerology and astrology would be offered to people about rudraksha.
