Chennai, July 28:
Southern Railway will operate special trains from Chennai Egmore to Mayiladuthurai in connection with the Sani Peyarchchi festival.
Train number 0677 will leave Egmore at 7 p.m on 4 August and reach Mayiladuthurai at 4 a.m the next day. In the return direction, the train (0678) will leave Mayiladuthurai at 11.30 p.m on 5 August and arrive at Egmore at 9.45 a.m the next day.
The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Thanajavur and Kumbakonam. Train no 0678 will stop at Mambalam also. Advance reservation opened today.
The frequency of trains (2661/2662), Chennai Egmore-Tenkasi Podhigai Expresses, will be increased from six days a week to daily from 31 July from Egmore and from 1 August from Tenkasi, a press release here said.

Super Fast Expresses will stop at Wallajah Road and Vaniyambadi respectively
