UTI Banking Sector Fund declared tax-free dividend of 35 per cent (Rs 3.50 per unit on face value of Rs 10).
Pursuant to the payment of dividend, the NAV of the dividend option of the fund would fall to the extent of payout and statutory levy if any. The record date for the dividend is 23 May, 2007.
All unit holders registered under the dividend option of UTI Banking Sector Fund as on 23 May, 2007 will be eligible for this dividend. Also investors who join the dividend option of the fund on or before the record date will be eligible for the dividend. The NAV per unit as on 17 May, 2007 was Rs 18.80 under the dividend option.
Univercell now in Puducherry
Univercell, pioneer in mobile phone retailing, opened its brand outlet at Puducherry. The new showroom is part of company's strategic initiative to expand further. And it was inaugurated by Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy and actress Pooja. The showroom is located at S V Patel Road. It has now grown from strength to strength to become a private limited company with a staff strength of 300. Last year, the company had an annual turnover of Rs 120 crore. Univercell has charted an ambitious growth plan and is looking at pan-Indian presence over the next two years.
