Ganesh shines for Elmaq

        Medium-pacer Ganesh Kumar took 7 for 30 to set up a four-wicket win for Elmaq Education over Bharath CC in the 38th All-India IOB-YSCA Trophy cricket tournament, being held here.

        Batting first, Bharath CC was shot out for 64 as Ganesh ran through their line-up. However, Elmaq made heavy weather of the small target, losing six wickets before sealing a win. In another match, skipper and medium-pacer R Solava Raju claimed five wickets conceding just 16 runs as Ramesh Flowers (Tuticorin) thrashed Citi Group Global by seven wickets.

        Scores: Citi Group Global 66 all out in 16.3 overs (R Solava Raju 5 for 16) lost to Ramesh Flowers (Tuticorin) 67 for 3 in 8.3 overs (Raja Srinivas 3 for 39). Player of the match: Solava Raju.

        Bharath CC 64 all out in 15.2 overs (D Yogarajan 26, Ganesh Kumar 7 for 30) lost to Elmaq Education 66 for 6 in 12 overs (M Vinod 3 for 35). Player of the match: Ganesh Kumar.

        Adambakkam CC 135 for 9 in 30 overs (A C Pradeepan 40, K Sugumar 29, Kaushik 3 for 30) lost to National Granites 139 for 5 in 27.2 overs (Manoj 61 n.o, Bunty 35, V Sriram 3 for 24). Player of the match: Manoj.

        Jain Combines 134 all out in 30 overs (V S Thareer Ahmed 31, N Suresh 3 for 17) lost to PUC 135 for 3 in 19.3 overs. Player of the match: Suresh. Ramesh Flowers (Tuticorin) 144 all out in 25 overs (Edwin 57, N Sridhar 4 for 37) lost to MCC 146 for 3 in 23.3 overs (Subash Raj 64, Ananathakrishnan 45 n.o). Player of the match: Subash Raj.
