Chennai lad Aditya Patel took pole position with the fastest lap timing of 00:40:473 in the senior category of Round three of J K Tyre Rotax Mojo Max Indian karting challenge-2007, which began here yesterday.
Ameya Walavakar from Mumbai finished second and Rayomand
Banajee came third in the qualifying round amidst strong winds and steady drizzle at Kari Motor Speedway, on the city outskirts.
Stealing the thunder in the junior category was the Chennai youngster Vishnu Prasad, with the fastest lap timing of 00:41:115. Karan Goenka and Parth Ghorpade were second and third on the grid respectively.
Honours in Mini Max class
went to the Chennai lad Shashank Ravi Shankar who timed the fastest lap
of 00:49:936. Finishing second was Arjun Maini from Bangalore, while Surya
Raghuraman from Dindigul (Tamilnadu) came third.
