On a diet? Go for these bars

        Avesta Good Earth, a consumer food division of Avesthegan, has launched a new range of Good Earth Muesli bars for the diet-conscious sections of society.

        The bars are available in Classic, Elaichi, Chocolate and Diet flavours that are rich in fibre, have balanced carbohydrates. They are priced between Rs 9 and Rs 15.

        Briefing reporters here recently, CEO of Avestha Good Earth Sandip Dang said, 'consumer health food is one of the fastest growing category with immense growth potential.

        We have extensively studied the market and our product development team has created products with variants that hold tremendous appeal to Indian customers'. These Muesli bars contain cereal enriched with fruits and nuts and are mainly targeted at health-conscious customers', he said.

        The bars are currently available in three variants - apple, cocoa and orange. The Classic flavour is available in packs of 200 gm, 400 gm and one kg while Ealichi, Chocolate and Diet are available in packs of 200 gm and 400 gm.

        He further said the bars contain dates, raisins, cinnamon, nuts and almonds. The real fruits and almonds provide micro nutrients essential for maintaining good health, proteins from skimmed milk and soy protein that repair damaged cells owing to intense physical activity making it an ideal in-between snack. The company which spans across 35 towns in the country is targeting a revenue of Rs 15 crore in year 2007-2008.
