Uday, now AIMS chief

        At its recently held 19th annual convention, the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) announced Uday Salunkhe, director, Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research as the new president of the association.

        He takes over as the president from Shekhar Chaudhuri, director, IIM Kolkatta.

        In his illustrious carrier, Uday was involved with bodies of various Universities and Directorate of Technical Education and has contributed a great deal to improve the quality of management education in the country.

        Currently, he is the chairman of ad-hoc Board of Studies in Management Courses of Mumbai University and President, Association of Management of MBA/MMS Institutes.

        Recently, he was elected as a member of the executive board, Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA).

        Uday received over 15 awards for his contribution in management education both in India and abroad.
