        An MTC ticket examiner was electrocuted while trying to set right his telephone cable at Tiruvottriyur here this morning.

        The victim Krishnamurthy (56) of Tiruvottiyur died of electrocution when he climbed a streetlight post as he thought his telephone cable, which was running over the post, might have snapped. Police recovered his body and sent it to Stanley Hospital for post-mortem. Krishnamurthy is survived by wife Nagalakshmi, two daughters and one son.
