        After the tremendous success of Chennai 600028, there has been a gush of new faces in the film industry. One among them who gained an identity for himself is Nitinsathyaa aka Arun.

        Arun made his beginning with Kalatpadai and followed it up with cameo roles in Vasool Raja and Gee.

NitinSathyaa

Arun was rechristened as NitinSathyaa by director Vasanth, after he was selected to play an important role in his film Sathampodathe.         A tete-a-te with Nitinsathyaa, reveals more about the energetic man who has the drive to carve a niche for himself in the tinsel town.         Q: How did the change of name from Arun to Nitinsathyaa help you?         A: Though I played cameo roles with the name Arun, I never gained much recognition. When I was selected for the movie Sathampodathe, Vasanth decided to change my name. I did it so, after consulting my gemologist.         Q: How was it to be part of Chennai 28 team?

        A: Venkat Prabhu used to tell stories to entertain us. Our friends nicknamed him 'Production Mohan'. Suddenly we decided to make a movie to be directed by Venkat Prabhu and that was the birth of Chennai 28. It was an emotional bond that we shared and our determination to win which helped us succeed.

        Q: Comment on the success Chennai 600028?

        A: I have played cameos in Vasool Raja and Gee but only after Chennai 600028, I feel I have got the boy-next door image. I am relishing this recognition and I feel really good.

        Venkat Prabhu, producers Charan and Saravanan and all others involved in the making of the movie knew that we had to succeed in this venture. We never acted, we were our natural self. Rehearsals for 15 days before the commencement of the shooting helped us perform well.

        Q: Could you throw some light on Sathampodathe

        A: It is directed by Vasanth. Prithviraj and Padmapriya play the lead roles in the movie. My character has shades of grey but I am sure it will win me laurels. Vasanth is highly focused in his work and this inspired me to work harder.

        Q: What is your ambition?

        A: We have decided to do the second part of Chennai 28. Apart from that Premji, Ajay, Vijay and myself are doing a movie titled Thozhaa directed by Sundareshwaran.

        I want to do good roles in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi which are powerful and exhibit my acting skills.

        Q: Who is your role model?

        A: My mother, Lakshmi is my role model. She was instrumental in shaping my career in films.
