        A share auto driver today confessed to have looted houses from 14 different places in the city on interrogation after his recent arrest.

        Police said, Mohideen, a share auto driver, was recently arrested near Chengalpet. On interrogation, he revealed that he had looted cash and other valuables from 14 places, including Thiruvanmiyur and Thoraipakkam in Chennai.

        It may be recalled that there had been a spate of thefts in places like Thiruvanmiyur, Thorai-pakkam, Neelankarai and Adyar, in which share auto drivers were suspected to have threatened people at knife-point and robbed them.
