        A youth who killed his father for not giving him money to drink has landed in a soup.

        According to police, Kumar alias Pavadaikumar, a resident of Rangarajapuram at Kodambakkam, attacked his father Chandrasekar last night with a boulder after he denied him cash to buy liquor.

        Chandrasekar sustained head injury, and later with the help of neighbours he was admitted to Government Hospital for treatment. Initially, the police registered the case as a normal attack case.

        But when Chandrasekar succumbed to injuries this morning, the police registered it as a case of murder against Pavadaikumar and arrested him. Kumar, a married man, was a driver by profession, and has two children.
