        A young woman immolated self due to family problems at Parandhur Purusai village, Kancheepuram district, yesterday.

        According to police, Nadhiya (23) married milk vendor Murthy of Parandhur Purusai village only 10 months ago. She had poured kerosene on herself and set herself alight after her father-in-law scolded her yesterday.

        Kanchi taluk police have registered a case and an RDO enquiry had been ordered.
