| AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |
On the lines of his debut venture Thiruda Thirudi, director Subramaniam Siva has fashioned his Pori.
Still to wriggle out of that hangover, the movie deals on the protagonist singlehandedly taking on a mafia gang unravelling a few truths on way. Peppered with liberal doses of romance and action, the movie begins on a brisk note but too many loose ends mar the proceedings.
Not bugged by the complexity of his character, Jeeva does ample justice. Having handled heavier ones like Ram and E, it is a walk in the park for the growing talent. Romancing and flexing his muscles come easily to him.
A breezy time it is for Pooja, not doing anything wrong in that limited footage. Trying to repeat the Manmada Rasa magic, Dhina cuts a sorry figure. Karunaas trying to evoke humour and Nagesh pitching in his mite are only to be expected. The supporting cast has Gana Ulaganathan, Mahanadhi Shankar and Master Ganesh.
Romace blossoms between Jeeva (running a book store) and Pooja (television anchor) after their share of arguments in the initial rounds. Jeeva goes berserk upon finding that his father had been cheated in a land deal. On a mission, Jeeva brings the culprits to book, finding the time in between to put his feet to test along with Pooja.
Cinematographer Ekambaram walks away with all the honours, his lens having a field day capturing the actions. The movie has all the trappings of a commercial entertainer. Somehow the flavour is missing.
