(Transformers)
This is the newest addition to Michael Bay's list of admirable films like The Island, Pearl Harbour and The Rock. Story, John Rogers, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurutzman. Orci and Kurtzman have also done the screen writing.
An out and out action filled entertainer, Transformer brings with telling effects, the trans-planet war between two races of robotic aliens.
While Autobots are noble
and led by the prudent Optimus Prime, the evil Decepticons are commanded
by the horrendous Megatron.

Unending gun fires, explosions, chock-a-block car chases, intense robot-battles — the film has it all to make it all a good action thriller cum sci-fi movie.
The opening scenes when a helicopter gunship turns into a gigantic robot and in sequences when lovely cars and trucks transform into freighteningly sky-high robots and unleash terror you are really struck.
The film has plenty of arresting action sequences. Attack by Blackout, a decepticon on a US military base in Qatar, and the grand battle towards the climax deserves mention.
The film begins with a prologue by Optimus Prime.
We are told that a fierce war destroyed their home planet of Cybertron. The war was for the control of Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to its possessor.
The Autobots managed to smuggle Allspark out of Cybertron, and Megatron begins a trans-planet chase to get the powerful talisman.
A young teenager Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) a descendant of an explorer who discovered the first evidence of the Transformers' presence on Earth has a vital clue to find the Allspark.
He comes under the protection of Bumblebee - a good robot who realizes Sam's importance and summons his fellow Autobots to Earth to protect him from the Decepticons.
Sam and his girl friend Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) find themselves on the firing line in the grand battle between the pounding robots and courageously participate in the war to save Earth and protect humans.
The massive amounts of destruction, unleashed by the fighting robots have been picturised well and the DTS stereo sound amplifies the effect.
The movie is a beautiful demonstration that technology — its correct mix and use — including computer animation could provide absorbing entertainment.
