AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Racy pace, the saving grace

(Arya)

Director Balasekharan, in the company of actor Madhavan, has come up with an entertainer sans any logic or sensibility. But what keeps the movie going is its racy pace.

A young Madhavan makes the most of Arya, he has done a neat job, managing to look young and handsome. However there is not much scope for him to do in terms of acting.

Bhavana, who looks petite on screen, plays an arrogant girl. Her role seemingly inspired by Shreya Reddy's in Thimru, is far from conviction.

Prakashraj as a local goon impresses all. Being part of a time-pass entertainer, Prakashraj fits the bill well.

The focus in the first half is on the fight between the lead pair-Arya (Madhavan) and Deepika (Bhavana) and the second half deals in detail about how Deepika tries her best to hold the hands of Arya.

An arrogant Deepika rules the medical college, where Madhavan studies. Her brother Kasi (Prakashraj) is a dreaded gangster.

As expected Deepika falls for Arya after a series of encounters.

The fond brother formally approaches Arya to get his sister married off to him , but is rejected by Arya who points out their differences in social status.

Deepika now decides to turn Arya into a rowdy with the help of her brother. Arya is provoked, but he chooses to stay away from violence. Does Deepika succeed in her attempts, forms the crux of the story.

Mani Sharma has come up with some peppy numbers, while a comedy track featuring Vadivelu evokes good humour.

K V Guhan's camera work is a major saving grace for the film, produced by Manoj Kumar and Vijay Anand.

At the end, it's Madhavan's screen presence that works out well for the film.
