        Vijay TV is launching a new mega serial - Madurai from 30 July (to be aired at 8.30 p.m from Monday to Thursday). Produced by Touring Talkies and directed by Gerald, the programme will highlight all that is unique and special to the place such as temples, culture and customs.

        Shot completely in Madurai, the series portrays a long drawn family feud, and how the family gets united because of a romance. The cast includes popular RJ Senthil, veteran actress Vadivukkarasi, Mura and Thennavan among others.

        Stage set for champs

        As the third season concludes, the KPY series continues as the best performers continue in Kalaka Povathu Champions 3 which starts right after the grande finale. Kalaka Povadhu Champions 3 begins 3 August and will be aired every Friday at 10 p.m. The next season also has actor-turned MLA S Ve Sekar and Uma Riyaz as the judges and will be hosted by the popular mimicry artist Sethu and Ramya who hosts Vijay TV's King Queen Jack. Performers like Siva Karthikeyan, Saravannan, Shanmugaraj, Rajan and few others who have made an identity with their performance in KPY 3 are set to showcase their talent in Champions as well.

        Meanwhile, Siva Karthikeyan took the honours in Kalaka Povathu Yaar 3 and walked away with prize money of Rs five lakh.

        In today's episode of Koffee with Anu to be aired at 9 p.m on Vijay TV, actor-director Dr Rajasekar and Jeevitha Rajasekar will be the special guests. Listen to the couple as they share some of their interesting moments.
