Johnny Depp's 'Whitey Bulger' movie to release in 2015

Johnny DeppLos Angeles: Johnny Depp's new untitled film, where he will play the role of a Boston gangster named Whitey Bulger, will release on September 18, next year.

Scott Cooper is directing the crime drama for Warners Bros and Cross Creek. The film also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Joel Edgerton, Kevin Bacon, Adam Scott, Dakota Johnson, Juno Temple and Jesse Plemons, said the Hollywood Reporter.

The film's story is based on the book 'Black Mass: Whitey Bulger, the FBI and a Devil's Deal' by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill.
