Rameswaram: The Sri Lanka Navy yesterday arrested four Tamilnadu fishermen for allegedly entered into the island nation’s waters.
The personnel detained them near Neduntheevu, said a media report quoting Assistant Director of Fisheries D Yuvaraj.
In an unrelated incident, the Lankan Navy arrested two Tamilnadu people and a Sri Lankan refugee for attempting to enter the island nation’s territory in a country boat. They had allegedly stolen the boat and undertook the illegal voyage, said the report.
