Joining the bandwagon of young woman film-makers foraying into Kollywood is Nandini, a gold medallist from Adyar Film Institute. She caught the attention of film critics as early as 2003 with her double Tamilnadu State Award winning short film Ottam. |

A former associate of Kanda Naal Muthal fame Priya, Nandini will be wielding the megaphone for a movie titled Thuru Thuru Thiru Thiru (T4). Satyam Cinemas, a multiplex adopting the latest cinema technologies and Real Image, involved in digital entertainment technology, are coming together to produce T4. The movie was launched at a gala function at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai on Wednesday. To be shot in digital format, it features Anjathae fame Ajmal, Bangalore girl Rupa Manjeri, Mouli and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan in the lead roles. Says Nandini, ‘it will be a light hearted romantic comedy and the musical score would be by Mani Sharma’. She adds, ‘it is an interesting challenge to do a movie in digital format. I thank my producers for giving me this opportunity.’ Heaping laurels on her cast, she says, ‘ I am confident that I can pull it off with their co-operation.’Tan Ngaronga, COO, Sathyam Cinemas and Arvindh from Real Image Technologies were also present on the occasion. |
