We would produce 28 films and 1785 hours of TV content for the fiscal year 2010- 2011, said P S Swaminathan, chairman, Pyramid Saimira Productions International Limited.

Announcing Pyramid Saimira’s stragetic alliance with RDB Group, a major infrastructure player in the eastern and western India in Chennai Monday, Swaminathan said, ‘having learnt the nuances of the business (film-making) from our past ventures, we are confident that in the association of RDB Group we would scale new heights’.

On the occasion, the audio of the movies En Ippadi Mayakinai and Vanam Patha Seemaiyilae were released in the presence of Sivasakthi Pandian, secretary, Tamil Film Producers Council, Radharavi, secretary, South India Film Artistes Association and Sarath Kumar, president of the association.

En Ippadi Mayakinai, produced by veteran producer Kovai Thambi for Pyramid Saimira, features Richard, Gayathri, Vainavi, Santhanam and Suman Shetty in the lead roles. Directed by Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kadhal fame, the film has musical score by by newcomer Lakshman Ramalingam.

Vanam Patha Seemaiyilae, produced by Amudha Durairaj for Pyramid Saimira, features Ashok, Priyanka, Ganja Karuppu and Vijayakumar in the lead roles. Directed by Jeppi Azhagar, the movie has musical score by Srikanth Deva.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth Deva said, ‘ I have made a name for myself scoring music for peppy songs. With Vanam Patha Semaiyilae, I have proved all that I can also compose songs for earthy and rural themes’. Lyricist Nandhalala, filmmaker Krishna, actors Richard and Ashok were also present on the occasion.
