Martin organised the musical event at the Sathguru Gnananandha Hall, Chennai. Playback singer S P Balasubramanyam and veteran filmmaker K Balachander presioded over the celebrations. K Balachander appreciated the way in which 75 children were accommodated and said it had the effect of seeing a 70mm movie in a theatre. Balasubramanyam appreciated the technical aspects of the audio, and said that the children played the keyboard so effectively that some may even wonder whether it was any kind of pre-recorded music. Martin is the grandson of Gnana Prakasam, a Nadhaswaram maestro and the son of Mariya Susai, a Clarinet artist. Songs Vathapi Ganapathim and Jalajaksha both set in Ragam Hamsadwani were played continuously and the synchronization of the varnam and the Keerthanai was brilliant.
