.

Sir,

The BJP which has more leaders than cadres is now suffering from a phobia of too many leaders spoiling the broth. Senior leader L K Advani is being targeted and most partymen have pointed fingers at him and attack him mercilessly.

.
Jaswanths and Yeswanths are all party to all the decisions that BJP took earlier on and now since Advani is weak they have joined together to attack him.

Advani was their beloved leader till yesterday and today he is an enemy. What prevented them to disclose these ‘facts’ earlier? The BJP is supposed to be a national party led by Vajpayee earlier on and had some political credibility. During tough times, when they need to stand by their leader, various BJP leaders are ‘weaving their stories to get their own hunger satisfied.’

It is really unfortunate that for the party which was the so-called protector of Lord Rama and Hindutva is bugged and haunted by Jinnaism and the wickets are falling like nine pins.

Need for transparency

Sir,

While complimenting the Chief Justice of India for accepting plea for declaration of assets and wealth of Supreme Court judges, it is also necessary to bring in transparency in appointment and accountability in higher judiciary.

First part of the much-talked about 1997-resolution at Supreme Court ‘Resolved that an in-house procedure should be devised by the Chief Justice of India to take suitable remedial action against Judges who, by their acts of omission or commission, do not follow the universally accepted values of judicial life, including those indicated in the ‘restatement of values of judicial life’ now needs to be implemented in practice.

Great joke

Sir,

Addressing the biennial meeting of CBI and State ACB offcials, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wanted rapid, fair and accurate investigation of allegations of curruption in high places should be thier priority.

This is the best joke of the year and everyone in country knows the Prime Minister and the participants know well that they have to leave the advise in the venue itself.

In the past there were few incidents of  interferance from the government in the functioning of CBI and only after 2004 it has become Congress Bureau of Investigation (or Intimidation).

Good sign

Sir,

It is heartening to note that Team India discard S Sreesanth has put in an encouraging performance in the County championship in England. The Kerala paceman has been out of international cricket for some time and has been trying hard to bounce back. Though he could not find his range in IPL-2, Sreesanth is good enough to regain his form.

Armed with a fine outswinger, the mercurial bowler can be an asset to the Indian team, especially when they play abroad.
