.

Sir,

Narendra Modi the Chief Minister of Gujarat is a very strong man both by mind and heart. Gujarat has now become one of the most developed States under his ruling. In the CMs' conference Modi patted both the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister for their responses to security concerns of our nation and it is really a good and positive gesture on his part.

.

Political culture has become a thing of the past. It is worthwhile here to remember the kind of mutual admiration and concern of two leaders of Tamilnadu had in the early years. Congress leader Sathyamurthy and Dr A Ramaswamy Mudaliar were contesting for the elections and that was a very keen fight in those days. During the day in the process of seeking votes they used to be cat and mouse. But at night they used to exchange mutual concerns about their health. Such was the kind of personal relationship in those days. Modi's praise should be an eye opener to all.

Sack Sharad Pawar

Sir,

It is indeed unfortunate that India is facing the worst of coalition form of government when Congress has no option other than to bear anti-national, and somewhat anti-constitutional step of its ally Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, as he recognised Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackrey as some super-constitutional authority by seeking his 'kind' approval to allow IPL cricket-matches with some Australian cricketers. Sharad Pawar should retain his post of BCCI chief by resigning from post of Union Minister rather than embarrassing Union (and also Maharashtra) government along with Congress party through his moves which have proved often costly for Union government.

It seems that Sharad Pawar who always eyed on post of Prime minister, deliberately causes embarrassing situations for Manmohan Singh government either by bowing before Bal Thackrey or through deliberate statements and policies resulting in price-rise. It is better to sack such a trouble-causing Minister rather than allowing him to pull down from within the very Ministry of which he is a senior member.

Action, inaction

Sir,

Till date Pakistan has not shown its seriousness to bring 26/11 perpetrators to books but increased its activities including daily ceasefire violations. The Prime Minister has initiated for immediate secretary level talks. Pakistan having gained diplomatic victory to some extend, yet to  respond positively to India's initiative.

This clearly shows Manmohan Singh is under US  pressure and may yield a lot to Pakistan in the process. Pakistan Prime Minister has already said they cannot guarantee against repetition of 26/11. The JuD rally all over Pakistan clearly shows LeT is  as free as they were to act against India.
