.

Sir,

I am a resident of East Tambaram and waterlogging is the usual plight faced by pedestrians during the monsoon season. The drainage in the roads overflow due to the inflow of rain water making it a struggle for the commuters to cross the roads amidst the heavy traffic on Velacheri Main Road through Elangovan Street.

.

This has been the sad story for some years. This hazardous water infects the common public apart from large number of school children who need to ply on these roads to reach their school. Authorities concerned need to  take necessary action such as raising the height of the drain inorder to alleviate the problem.
