A lorry transporting liquor bottles overturned in Kancheepuram this morning. The accident took place when the driver lost control of the vehicle while taking a turn near Sevilimedu village, police said.

The lorry was carrying the bottles from Orrikai meant to be supplied to TASMAC shops in the nearby districts. As soon the lorry turned turtle, the liquor bottles fell off on the road and broke down into pieces.
Casual workers from adjoining areas were brought in to clear the spot for traffic which was disrupted for two hours due to the mishap.led. Police have registered a case. |
