Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises (MSME) DI, coming under the Ministry of MSME, government of India, will be conducting two courses in automobile technology, beginning 1 July at its Guindy campus here.

Briefing reporters here yesterday, S Sivagnanam, Director, MSME DI, said the courses— Certificate in Automobile Technology and Advanced Certificate in Automobile Technology, would youth land jobs in the industry, which is in need of skilled hands.
MSME-DI has tied up with Friendly Auto Work, a Hyundai authorised service centre to offer the courses in automobile technology and advanced certificate course in automobile technology, he added. It will train 20 students each in the first batch.
The first course is for 8th standard or above and the second is for ITI, diploma or degree holders.
Sivagnanam also said efforts were being made to request around 13 automobile companies and service stations to conduct campus interviews to help more students to get employment. Guidance for starting new ventures would also be provided, he added.
The fee for the certificate course would be Rs 7,000 while it would be Rs 8,000 for the advanced certificate course.
