Goa Governor S Sidhu presented a trophy and certificate to Anita Khurana, business unit head of Cargo in Air India during the awards ceremony in Mumbai on ered 62 destinations in India and 34 locations in 24 countries has the largest network among Indian carriers. Having six Boeing 737 freighters with a capacity of 15 tonnes each and four Airbus A-310 freighters with a capacity of 34 tonnes each, Air India Cargo was fully automated with ‘track and trace’ facility enabling shippers to monitor the movement of their cargo. This award reaffirmed the trust reposed by the freight forwarders on the national carrier’s proactive approach, performance and its sustained commitment to develop cargo operations in the country. The infrastructure and expertise of Air India with its state-of-the-art technology and maintenance facilities for servicing its fleet ensured a smooth transportation and delivery of cargo worldwide. The airline has proposed to hive off its cargo business into an independent business unit soon. |
