OneRoof Reports, a technology solution for cyber cafes, was unveiled to improve public safety by providing the means to be complaint with IT Act 2008 regulations on Friday.

Presenting the IT solution, OneRoof CEO Eric Spector said the software-as-a-service (SaaS) would be for public access computing that moved significantly beyond all other single site point-of-sale (POS) programme and required no up-front investment.

‘The OneRoof Reports software will deliver management data with easy access to information and compliance with anti-terrorism laws, besides localisation in most languages including Tamil, Kannada and Hindi,’ he said.

Using current web technologies and multi-unit reporting, he said the OneRoof Reports offered actionable information that helped cybercafe owners to increase profitability, serve communities better and fully comply with emerging anti-terrorism regulations.

The OneRoof Reports acquired the data capture software CyberCafePro in 2009 and it was now integrated with MIS technology for automated data extraction and viewing the results via the internet, he said. He also said SaaS model was a monthly fee-based service for each retail location running OneRoof Reports which includes CyberCafePro and five other software products.

OneRoof was also actively working with other organisation and government authorities in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat for deploying this software in cyber cafes across these states.

Exnora International founder M B Nirmal launched Connect Here Centres, the chain of cyber cafes owned by local entrepreneurs in rural towns of Tamilnadu that were being facilitated by OneRoof services on a business association model.

US Consulate — Commercial Service specialist V Manimala and OneRoof Services managing director Praveen Kumar Pridhvi also spoke.
