ICICI Prudential gives scholarships

ICICI Prudential AMC has given away scholarships for students under its Child Care Plan. Under this scheme, the company has announced scholarship of Rs 27.9 lakh to benefit 112 students out of which Rs 4.10 lakh have been received by the students from Tamilnadu.


ICICI Prudential AMC south zone head Harikrishna Raj said the scholarships have been announced on the basis of Plus Two and Tenth Board exam results to meritorious students for 2006-07 and 2007-08.

With the objective of providing financial help to deserving and meritorious students and further encourage them in higher education, the company has kicked off this scholarship programme.

Speaking on the eligibility criteria for the scholarship, Harikrishna said the candidate (unit holder) should have invested in Child Care Plan on or before 31 December 2006 for academic year 2006-07 and 31 December 2007 for academic year 2007-08.

The students must continue to be unit holders as on the date of announcement of scholarship by the trustees of ICICI Prudential Young Students Education Trust, he said.

Harikrishna said students must have passed HSC (Plus Two), Tenth Board exam or any other equivalent exams in 2006-07 or 2007-08 and scored an aggregate of more than 70 per cent in all subjects.
