        Shooting for Captain Vijayakanth's 150th film has commenced. Directed by Madhesh and produced by Sudesh, the movie features Vijayakanth in the role of an instructor in Police Training College. Hollywood stunt masters have been roped into work in the movie. Madesh, after intense search, has chosen the female leads for the movie. Newcomers Navneeth Kaur and Seril Brindo will play Vijayakanth's heroines.

        Also in the cast are Rahul Dev, Biju Menon and a couple of Hollywood actors. Srikanth Deva will score the music while A Venkatesh will handle cinematography. Pattukottai Prabhakar is penning the dialogues. Stunts by Rocky Rajesh will be the highlight. The movie would be shot in Canada and Malaysia.

        According to Madesh, 'Arasangam features Vijayakanth in a never-seen-before role. He has trimmed his body to suit the character.' Dwelling further, he says, 'it would be an action-packed entertainer. Special focus is given to stunt sequences. The movie is being made at a huge budget and I am confident that it would be a movie to cherish for Vijayakanth fans.'

        Asked whether the movie would have political overtones, Madesh says, 'No. It is apolitical and the focus is simply on to render a racy entertainer'.

        Plans are on to release Arasangam this Pongal.
