        Nam Naadu will reflect the political ideology of the party to be floated by actor Sarath Kumar soon. Or so he says.

        But the movie is a remake of Malayalam hit Lion which featured Dilip in his first dual role.

        But by naming it Nam Naadu, a title made famous by MGR, Sarath has straightaway incorporated a contemporay political relevance.

        Malayalam actress Karthiga is paired with Sarath Kumar and Suresh, who directed movies like Arasu, Gambiram and Sabari, is weilding the megaphone.

        On the challenges involved in doing a remake, Suresh says,'for a director, every movie is a new challenge. You are not measured by the past success nor you can live in old glory. All I would like to assure now is an action-filled fare and sentimentally-laced commercial entertainer.'

        Comedian Ramesh Kanna has penned the dialogues. According to Ramesh Khanna: 'though I have penned dialogues for few films before, Nam Naadu was a challenge. I had to get my act right since it is about politics'.

        Srikanth Deva has scored music for the movie. Produced by Ramesh for Kanakarathna Movies, Nam Naadu will be released on 7 September.

        Sarath Kumar said, 'it is a movie which features me in the role of Minister.

        It is about a student politician, who ends as a Home Minister'. 'I have taken no dig at any contemporary politician', he clarifies.

        The movie also features Manivannan, Nasser, Charan Raj, Illavarasu, Sreeman, Abitha, Ponvannan among others.
