AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Rising like phoenix

After a drubbing in Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram, Dhanush is pinning all his hopes on his forthcoming Polladhavan The movie's title is inspired by his father-in-law (Rajnikanth's) earlier film.

Directed by debutant Vettrimaran, a former associate of director Balu Mahendra, Polladhavan features Divya alias Kuthu Ramya opposite Dhanush.

Speaking about the film, Dhanush says, 'I play a boy next door with dreams and aspirations to come up in life. The problems that I encounter in realising my mission is what the story is all about'.

'Vettrimaran, who had worked as an associate to cinematographer - director Balu Mahendra deserves a pat for rendering a engrossing romantic entertainer'.

Polladhavan has cinematography by Velraj and editing by V T Vijayan. A major portion of the movie was shot in and around Chennai.

Quick to deny that the movie has no influence of Rajnikanth's mega hit Polladhavan, Vettrimaran says, 'It was indeed a joy to work with a hero like Dhanush for my debut venture. He was very co-operative. A director's actor, Dhanush has come out with right expressions in the movie'. On Divya, he says, 'she is an actress with abundant energy and talent. She has done justice to her role'.

G V Prakash has come up with half-a-dozen peppy songs for the movie. Yengayum Eppodhum, the evergreen hit number rendered by S P Balasubramaniam, is remixed for Polladhavan. Popular rap singer Yogi, a household name in Malaysia, has remixed the song and appears on screen with Dhanush.

'Making a foray to Tamil cinema with such a big team is a delight', Yogi says. 'A mix of action, romance and humour, Polladhavan is sure to rock the audience', Vettrimaran says.
