        Lakshmi Rai, the tall and cute-looking actress from Belgaum, is pinning all her hopes on her forthcoming release Nenjai Thodu. Introduced by veteran director R V Udhaya Kumar in Karka Kasa Dara, she followed it up with moies opposite Parthiban and Vijayakanth. Unfortunately they failed to make it big at the box office.

        Undeterred, the Belgaum-girl is optimistic of turning things around with Nenjai Thodu, a new film being produced by Divine Creations (UK) and DC Entertainment (India). It is directed by debutant Rajkannan, a one-time associate of K Bhagyaraj.

        This film has a debutant Gemini as the hero opposite Lakshmi Rai. The director, when questioned on the film, said that it has a refreshing storyline and will have an aesthetic appeal.

        'It revolves around a guy who craves for love and dreams high about getting the much desired love from his spouse. Whether his hopes translate into reality or not forms the crux of the film'.

        Dwelling further Raj Kannan, says, ' though a debutant, Gemini has been delivering his best like an experienced actor'. Lakshmi Rai firmly believes that this film will give her a break. The climax scene was shot at Kancheepuram railway station in a grand manner with over 1000 junior artiste participating, Raj Kannan says and adds, 'working with the likes of Nasser and veteran actor Nagesh was a delightful experience'.

        The movie has music by Srikanth Deva, cinematography by Karthikraja, editing by Mohan - Subbu and stunts by Super Subbarayan.

        Nenjai Thodu will hit the screens this summer.
