        Ranjith's long-pending Pasupathy C/O Rasakapalayam will be released this weekend. Directed by Selvabharathy, the movie features Sindhu Tholani and Vivek in prominent roles.

        Speaking about the film, Ranjith, said, 'it is a movie that dwells on motherhood. Selvabharathy, who is adept in churning out hilarious films, has taken a lofty theme but laced it with humour all through'.

        Ranjith dons the role of a youth, who does petty jobs in a police station, where Vivek is a constable. Ranjith comes across a girl and his life changes, Selvabharathy says and adds, 'a major portion of the movie was shot in rural areas of Tamilnadu. Coming to know about the movie's theme, villagers came forward and helped us to shoot the movie without any hassle'.

        The climax was shot for over a week. It conveys a strong message to today's youth, he says.

        Deva has scored the music, while Selvabharathy has penned a song that glorifies motherhood.
