Chennai: St Bede’s AIHSS ‘A’ emerged champions of the TNCA City Schools Tournament for U-16 C Ramaswamy Trophy defeating Don Bosco MHSS ‘A’ by eight wickets in the final played here Tuesday.
S R Athish scored an unbeaten 117 (148b, 8×4, 1×6) to help his team, Don Bosco, post a competitive total of 231 for four. He received good support from B Jeswin Bradman who scored 65. But that total proved to be inadequate as St Bede’s chased it down without any difficulty with S Sri Abisek scoring 68, while Manav Parakh was not out on 63.
