After more than three years since the December deluge of 2015, Corporation has finally started construction of the major underground drainage (UGD) on Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road. It is being done to divert water from all the waterbodies in Madipakkam and the surrounding areas to Pallikaranai marshland thereby to discharge into the Bay of Bengal.
