There were rumours that Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 has been shelved. However sources close to actor Kamal Haasan say that the movie is very much on and shooting will begin this August.

Sources say that Nayanthara will be playing a physiotheraphy student in Vijay starrer Bigil. Produced by AGS Entertainments,the movie brings together Vijay and filmmaker Atlee for third time after Mersal and Theri.

Filmmaker-actor Venkat Prabhu has played a key role in Nithin Sathya’s debut film as producer. The film stars Vaibhav as the lead. It is directed by Prabhu Charles, who had earlier worked as an associate to Thani Oruvan director Mohan Raja.

The first look poster of Appathava Aattaya Pottutanga, a movie that stars late Chandra Haasan (elder brother of Kamal Haasan) in the lead is all complete and ready for release. The first look was released by Kamal Haasan recently.

Dulquer says, “Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal is an interesting story and I am really excited to be a part of this one, with such a fantastic cast and crew. This also happens to be my 25th film and that makes it even more special for me.”

Non-availability of maize has hit poultry farmers hard. Taking the matter to the attention of the Centre, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday, urging him to permit poultry farmers to import maize to tide over the present crisis.

“It is India’s first film on Sumo fighters. Due credit should be given to Japanese government and their embassy for helping us shoot scenes involving sumo fighters in India and Japan. Noted cinematographer P C Sreeram, who had been to Cannes International Film Festival, was mightily impressed with the story and readily agreed to crank the camera for Sumo.”

Making announcements for the Agriculture department, he said to increase the growth of palm trees 2.5 crore palm seeds will be distributed to farmers at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
