This Madras Week, that is traditionally celebrated in August, the members of India Poetry Circle (IPC) in Chennai decided on a different kind of tribute to the city they love – Chennai that was known as Madras. They have brought out an anthology of poetry and prose – an illustrated one at that – for the occasion.
Handbook of 46,000 Tamil names released in Tamilnadu
The book was released in Tiruvannamalai Monday by Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy and the first copy was received by MDMK chief Vaiko. The book has 23,000 male names and 23,000 girl child names.
