Southern Railway will be operating special trains for Pongal festival. According to a press release, Tirunelveli-Tambaram special fare special train (06002) will leave Tirunelveli at 6.15 pm on 11 January and will reach Tambaram at 5 am, next day. Tambaram-Tirunelveli Suvidha special train (82603) will leave Tambaram at 7.20 pm on 12 January and will reach Tirunelveli at 6 am, the next day.
