The Finance Ministry today decided to put on hold increment in dearness allowance (DA) for 50 lakh central government employees and 61 lakh pensioners till July 2021 due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Tamilnadu today reported 54 new coronavirus cases and two deaths due to Covid -19. With this, the total number of persons affected by the pandemic in the State stands at 1,683.
