Madras University was accredited with A++ grade with a 3.59 score by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council which is better than the ‘A’ grade in the previous cycle.
It may be recalled that a seven-member peer team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council visited University of Madras to assess the institution a few days ago. The team comprised a vice-chancellor from a reputed university and senior professors. The team evaluated the university’s performance in various areas such as teaching, research, infrastructure, governance and social responsibility.
