D Godwin Vedanayagam Rajkumar, a teacher from the Government Boys High School, Alanganallur in Madurai district, and S Malathi who teaches at a Government High School in Veerakeralam Pudur of Tenkasi district, have been selected from Tamil Nadu for the national award by the Union government. Rajkumar and Malathi are among the 50 teachers selected across the country for the award this year.Godwin (49) is a Physical Education teacher and National Cadet Corps (NCC) Officer. Malathi teaches science at Government High School in Veerakeralam Pudur.
