Chennai- Tirunelveli Vande Bharat Express is likely to be launched in November this year.Train number (20631) is locked for the upcoming Chennai to Tirunelveli New Vandhe Bharat Express. Southern Railways is said to be allotted nearly 5 rakes and services will begin shortly.
It is also said that the Vande Bharat trains run between Tirunelveli – Chennai will have sleeper facilities.
The Chennai Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express trains currently operate with train numbers 20643/20644 on 6 days a weekly basis covering a distance of 495 km (308 mi) in a travel time of 5 hrs 50 mins. This train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 April.
